Windows Support ~ Telnet Sessions - Starting and Stopping

Click Start ~ Programs ~ UniData ~ UDSerial Configuration

Click on the CONTROL tab

Click STOP to stop the telnet sessions

Click START to restart the telnet sessions

DIAL IN TO NT SYSTEM

- RAS must be installed on server but NOT running

- use 'Services' in control panel to turn off RAS (but do not remove it)

- UniData telnet service/config should now be able to configure and use COM ports

- telnet login is: o servername

where 'o' is open a session

and 'servername' is the NT name for this server

Modem not responding...

- run telnet service and start and stop service for selected COM port

To run Unidata Telnet service...

- Start / Run / serialcfg

- select port & properties - make sure 'control keys' tab options are clear

(i.e. no garbage in escape, xon or xoff)
